People's Choice Reggae Night at the Jolly Brewer, 27 Broadgate, Lincoln at 7pm. An unforgettable evening filled with pulsating beats, soulful melodies and pure musical vibes to celebrate the diverse world of reggae music. Immerse yourself in the infectious sounds of the Caribbean. Also People's Choice Sound take the stage spinning live vinyl and bringing an authentic touch to the night's festivities. Ruskington Handmade monthly artisan market at Ruskington Village Hall from 10am - 3pm. Home fragrances, cakes and bakes, wooden gifts, jewellery, jams and chutneys and much more. Tea and coffee available.


Dance Night at Coningsby Community Hall. Doors open at 7pm. A mix of Irish, Country, 50s to 90s, Soul and Rock n Roll with Dean & Co and Karen Clare. Come and dance the night away with the Lions and help raise funds for charity.


Jolene - An Evening of Dance and the Biggest Country Hits at Smiths Tea Room, Royal Naval Club, Coulson Road, Lincoln from 7pm - midnight. Live performance from the Country Chix and also live DJ. Buffet, dance floor and bar. Tickets are £25 available from the tea room for cash or via bank transfer.


Nettleham Live at Nettleham Village Hall with Brian Willoughby and Cathryn Craig. Sublime guitar work and one of the finest voices around. Supporting are Di, John and Alex. Car boot sale at Banovallum School, Boston Road, Horncastle. Gates open to traders from 10am and the cost is £5 a pitch to be paid on entry. Gates open to the general public at 11am. Yarned and Dangerous at the Birdcage, 54 Baggholme Road, Lincoln from 7.30 - 10.30pm. Whether you're a dab hand at knitting/crochet or an absolute beginner, this group is for you. Come along and meet new people and either learn a new skill or help others learn.


Rock Fit at Burton Road Methodist Church at 7pm. Classes combining dance fitness, cardio and toning with rock music. This class takes place every Monday and is suitable for all fitness levels. The first class is £1 and the normal price per class is £6.

Breakfast Bird Watching Walk from 8am - 10am, meeting outside the Grandstand, Saxilby Road, Lincoln. Join expert birder and keen naturalist Steve Lovell. You will have a chance to spot a variety of birds such as skylarks, yellow hammers, heron and kestrel as you travel through the open grassland of West Common. The walk will be followed by a breakfast roll and hot drink at the West End Sycamore cafe. The cost is £5 and this includes breakfast. The walks are open to all, whether beginners or experts. Andrea Townhill of Divine Herbs and Therapies will be giving a talk at Bardney Village Hall in Silver Street from 7 - 9pm on how you can use herbs from the garden to improve your health. The evening will include a demonstration, a discussion when you can ask questions, and a chance to buy quality herbal teas, syrups, balms, capsules, herb plants and more, all at reasonable prices. Tickets for the evening are £8 in advance or £10 on the door. The tea bar will be open with tea/coffee/herbal teas and cake. There will also be a raffle with tickets costing £1 a strip.


Yoga with May at the Blue Room, The Lawn, Union Road, Lincoln from 6 - 7pm. Suitable for all ability levels, ages and flexibilities. This is a wonderful way, not only to stay fit and healthy physically, but also a great way to meditate and reflect. Taking place every Tuesday at a cost of £7.50 payable at the class.

Bake Sale at Sheppard Court retirement housing complex, Western Avenue, Bracebridge Heath from 1 - 4.30pm. The event is open to the public and all bakers are invited to come along and showcase their baking skills. You are welcome to come and get a takeaway or join the community and enjoy delicious cakes or savouries with a cup of tea.

The Beatles by Candlelight at Lincoln Cathedral at 7.30pm. Featuring a cast of West End singers and epic live band 'Come Together' for a Magical Mystery Tour, jam packed with over 40 Beatles hits as you have never heard them before. Tickets can be obtained from tickettailor.com.

Discovering Roman Lincoln at the Lincoln Museum, 1 Danes Terrace at 2.30pm. A tale of legionnaires, priests, families and farmers given by Dr Adam Daubney, the Finds Specialist. Cancer Support Parkrun Event at 9am at Belton House. Have you, or someone you know, been affected by cancer? Are you looking to engage in more physical activity in a supportive environment? Then come and join this run, although if you don't want to run you can walk or jog. There is free parking and toilets and cafe facilities are available. Meet at the main front steps of Belton House 5 - 10 minutes before the run begins.


Historic May Day and Green Man Festival in the Market Place, Market Rasen. This is a new event which draws on some of the old customs of the Green Man Festival but is a modern May Day celebration. Admission is free.


Social Dance at Branston Booths Village Hall from 7.30 - 10.30pm. Tea and coffee will be served in the interval but you are welcome to bring your own refreshments. Tickets are £5 per person.


Coffee morning in Saxilby Village Hall from 10am - 12 noon in aid of Multiple System Atrophy Trust. Tea, coffee and biscuits are £1 and squash is 50p. There are cakes, jigsaws, preserves and books plus tombola and a raffle. A friendly and welcoming event for all ages - come in for a natter. There are also History group display boards and parish councillors attending.


Revolting Children free musical theatre workshop at Alford Corn Exchange from 11.30am - 2pm. This event is for children aged 6 - 16 years with Olivia Burton who is a final year musical theatre student. Booking is essential by emailing owadmin@alfordhub.co.uk.


Craft Fayre at Heckington Village Hall from 10am - 2pm. Come and take a look at some of the wonderful work created by local craft artists. Refreshments will be available including tea, coffee and cans of soft drink.


Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May

Heron Watch at Hartsholme Country Park from 11am - 4pm. Come along and see the handsome herons. Binoculars and telescopes are available from the Lincoln Local RSPB Group to catch a glimpse of the herons and their young at the nest sites. Join them at the lakeside. Step into the past with the Travelling Historical Market located in St Mary le Wigford Church, St Mary's Street, Lincoln from 11am - 5pm each day. The Mayor of Louth presents a fun packed variety show at the Riverhead Theatre, Victoria Road, Louth at 2pm. A delightful afternoon of entertainment including singers, dancers, comedians and some very special guest stars. The show also features the talents of Louth's own school of dance. Tickets are £15 and all proceeds will go to support local charities.


Sutton Railway Group Modeller's Fair from 10am - 4pm at the Meridale Centre, High Street, Sutton on Sea. Displays include model railway layouts, static engines, dolls houses, dioramas and aircraft. Admission is £2 and under 12s are free. Refreshments are available.


Drive it Day at 12 noon for a 12.30pm start. You will be asked to search for clues on a mystery route starting at Daisy Made Ice Cream on Lincoln Road, Skellingthorpe, and finishing with an afternoon tea. Tuesday chat on the first Tuesday of every month at 12 St Mark's Avenue, Cherry Willingham from 10.30am - 12pm. Want a chance to sit and chat or need a change of scene or just a place to be with someone else for a while? Cuppa, cake and company. All are welcome.

Harmony Lincs Chorus are based in Lincoln and rehearse every Tuesday evening at the Priory Academy on Skellingthorpe Road at 7.30pm. They welcome male voices from 18 to 80. At present there are 35 members who build their own performance stage and would love to help anyone who has a village hall or space for them to perform. They are happy to help any organisation raise money either for Children in Need or a charity of their own choice. Sturton by Stow Indoor Bowls Club meet on Monday evenings at the Village Hall at 7pm. Please come and join them for an evening of fun. Experienced or newcomer, all are welcome. Approximately 2 hours with a tea break.

One Accord Voices Saxilby based choir are looking to recruit soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices. The Hartsholme Hall History Hunt takes place on a daily basis and takes you to points of interest all around the park including Dog Graves, the Stable Block, the Kitchen Gardens, Lady's Walk, the Boat House and many more. Just pick up a leaflet on arrival and start exploring.

Visit Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum for a journey back in time. Various events take place throughout the year and to find out more check their website on lvvs.org.uk.
