Wayne Radley

Wayne is  currently self-employed, he has been in the building industry all of his working life starting out as a Painter & Decorator.

His other hobbies besides the rock & roll, show are Country pursuits, long distant walking, running, hill walking and motor biking.

Wayne's interest in Rock n Roll probably started when he used to listen to his parents early 78’s & 45’s, but he didn’t really start to follow the cause until he moved into Lincoln from Saxilby in 1975, when he started to go out socially in the Lincoln drinking establishments. Wayne was out with a friend in his car and he put on a Buddy Holly tape, it was at this stage he wanted to learn more.

Wayne started going out to the Pubs & Clubs where he could hear more being played, and then started his record collection, which numbers many hundreds, some very collectable. He dabbled with a disco for a while, but it just wasn’t for him at the time. Wayne has travelled the length & breadth of the country to “All Dayers” “Weekenders” and “One Nighters” following original artistes and those groups playing vintage Rock n Roll.

Then the offer came for me to do a show on Lincoln City Radio. Wayne was very unsure at first but with a little help from those involved he is now well settled.
