Tony Nightingale

Born in Halifax Yorkshire in 1945. Educated to degree level at Edinburgh University (Community Studies). Home is in Horncastle.


Merchant Navy Deck Department. Was married now widowed. Two children Jane and Ian. Both went to university


Spent 38 years in the service of youth and community in Scotland, Merseyside, Manchester, Birmingham, Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire.

I have worked on a number of small radio stations in New Zealand, Australia and in the UK. IN the UK I have worked on Gravity FM, Don Valley FM, Freedom Radio, Purfect FM (Oldham), and was at Trust AM (Worksop) for five years. Completed an NVQ in radio production.

HOBBIES: Amateur radio (G3ZPU), Motorcycling at an international level. Chairman of a national charity (National Youthbike) and volunteer at Thorpe Camp Museum (ex RAF Woodhall Spa)
