Although not a native 'yellowbelly', Lucy has lived most of her adult life in the Lincoln city area and has firmly adopted Lincolnshire as her home county. She lives just outside the city with her husband Peter and her son Elliot.
With the ambition of becoming a journalist, Lucy left school to work on a local newspaper, but, sadly, the management team felt that her sunny disposition lent itself better to selling advertising space. Telephone sales didn’t come easily to Lucy so she moved to Newark and became a Dental Nurse. This was a bad career choice as she is particularly squeamish. The Dentists soon spotted this and wisely moved her to the Reception area.
In 1996 Lucy started working for Anglian Water, and is still there today working as an IT Business Analyst. In 1999 her voice was selected to be the ‘voice’ of the company. Whenever you telephone Anglian Water you will be greeted and guided to the right department by her voice.
In 2012, Lucy approached the Lincoln City Radio stand at the Waddington Air Show and asked about becoming a presenter. She has discovered a real passion for 50’s, 60’s and 70’s music whilst at the station. She loves singing along but rarely knows the correct lyrics. Lucy regularly presents the weekly Hits on Saturday show from 11am - 2pm.
