Lee Hutchinson

Lee was born in Sheffield and after school started work for BBC Radio Sheffield. He spent his initial BBC career in local radio both presenting and producing programmes.

Then he decide to move sideways in the Beeb to television in Leeds and Look North. He moved further north to Newcastle again staying with Look North before finally moving to Television Centre in London where until the last 2 years of his career he was the Duty Operations Manager for BBC News.

The final move saw him working at Broadcasting House, where he was responsible for approx.. 370,000 hours of live programming a year in World Service TV  & Radio. Domestic TV & Radio output, and BBC Online.

After his retirement the radio bug got the better of him and when he moved to Lincoln with his family LCR beckoned, and with a change to new premises at Oak House, LCR needed a new studio set up, so along with colleagues from the radio station Lee headed the team on the studio rebuilding programme.

He’s now Broadcast & Engineering Director at Lincoln City Radio.
